New Vatican rules regarding clergy abuse announced…
The Vatican is cracking down on priests who commit sex abuse. The new norms also included extending the statute of limitations from 10 to 20 years and also indentify possessing or disturbing child pornography as a crime. The revisions also add several other offenses to “grave crimes” including any acts related to women’s ordination. This marks the first major document issued by the Vatican since the scandal erupted in Europe earlier this year.
