The battle lines in the liturgy wars…

Vatican officials have called for a “reform of the reform” of liturgy and the Pope has made suggestions of a restoration of Latin. German Catholics come forward with abuse reports…
The home country of Pope Benedict is in the middle of a Church crisis. Dozens of victims have come forward with revelations of abuse by Catholic priests at German high schools. The Catholic Church in Germany has apologized for the incidents, but there already are calls for the government to take action because most of the cases date back to the 1970s and 1980s and are beyond the reach of criminal statutes and prosecution.
