Happy Birthday Voice of the Faithful

8 years old? How time flies! From that tumultuous beginning in 2002, when the silence around decades of abuse began to crack open, we have served as the voices calling for justice, for accountability, for transparency—for addressing the systemic, institutional failures that have so marred our Church.

YOU are the voices that from parish to parish and diocese to diocese have called us all to Keep the Faith: Change the Church. YOU are the voices that today continue to address the work needed as we reform and renew our Church.

So light a candle for yourselves, for the work before us, and for the hope it brings us all.

Help us celebrate by leaving a birthday wish, or by remembering your own VOTF experiences these past eight years.

my birthday wish: that the

my birthday wish: that the leaders of our Church, to whom jesus entrusted so very much, will recognize who they have become and cease behaving like the hypocrites and pharisees that jesus so condemned.

Thank you, VOTF, for giving

Thank you, VOTF, for giving me enough hope to remain a Catholic! With the hard work of this organization, God's will may well shine through. Bless you, and bless us all.

Many of us remember that

Many of us remember that Spirit-filled first convention in 2002. Some may remember the announcement by Jim Post that we were looking for an elderly frail priest who went missing.(Fr. was found sitting front and center in the reserved seats!) Fr. Jim Sullivan (Brooklyn, NY diocese)is now 'front and center' before the throne of God interceding for us all. VOTF was dear to his priestly heart; he was convinced it was truly the Spirit at work in the laity of the Church. That VOTF is still here certainly proves it. Happy Birthday!

St. Pius Lynn was with VOTF

St. Pius Lynn was with VOTF from the beginning. We have seen many changes since our beginning. Many states, including MA. have increased the number of years under their statute of limitations of abuses against children ( VOTF ) was there. Many changes in accountability and transparency has taken place in many Archdioceses. ( VOTF ) was there. Laity have been given more major roles in the running of parishes. ( VOTF ) was there.
We the laity, having been working very hard to bring the changes from Vatican ll into the 21st Century.

Happy Birthday, VOTF! Proud

Happy Birthday, VOTF!
Proud to be associated with you and the "thinking Catholics" that love their Church and are standing up in conscience to speak truth to power!
