Voice of the Faithful members in southwest Florida are no longer allowed to hold their annual VOTF mass at the local Catholic church.  The pastor spreading a message that the Eucharist was “so scared that the Voice of the Faithful would compromise it.”  The affiliate has been allowed to hold small meetings at the parish but has recently been blocked from holding larger meetings with speakers.

Cardinal Sean O’Malley of Boston is citing changes in the archdiocese as the reason for progress against clergy sex abuse.  He has also mentioned that archdiocese was contemplating publishing a list of priests accused of abuse which has been done by various other dioceses across the country.
